Thrilled to get a letter letting me know that Bushfire Sunset has been accepted to the AQS Show in Paducah. Now I just have to redo the hanging sleeve.
This is a collaborative quilt with Nic Bridges and we are very proud of it.
Thanks for all your nice comments. The quilt is 80" x 80" and this is only a detail shot. The tree is overlaid hand dyed silk organza and the pieceing is all sorts of fabrics including velvet, organza, hand dyed and painted fabrics, linen, cotton and silk.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Lisa. I don't know what Paducah is in terms of quilt festivals, but if they have chosen your quilt it must be good quilt show.

ReplyDeleteLisa, the quilt is beautiful and congratulations on Paducah. Kristi has taught there and I used to work with the town's downtown organization. Nice place! Bill Steiner, Adventures in Italy
