I am procrastinating this morning - or call it writers block but I cut this orange for juice and then decided to paint it. I am doing Jane LaFazio's Sketchbook and Watercolour Journal course online through Joggles and need to practice (obviously).
Anyway - not very happy with the orange as I couldn't get the colour right and the shadows are a bit off but I will persevere as I have always wanted to do this style of work.
I preferred my first attempt of Pears and Mango. Watch the blog for progress (hopefully improving) as I intend to take my little kit on the road. Brisbane tomorrow, Houston next week!

Your Oranges Mangos and pears are heaps better than I could do.
ReplyDeleteWill check out the link as it looks interesting.
thanks
You're progressing well, Lisa. A hint that my art mentor once gave me: for shadows, add a little purple with a touch of the complementary colour added. You need to experiment to get it right, but it does work wonderfully well when you do. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the mango, well done. See you in Brissy on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWell done Lisa, watercolour is the hardest of mediums. You are going really well :)
ReplyDeleteWow I can see so much improvement. Keep up the good work. I especially love the pears and mango painting.
ReplyDeleteYou are so busy you make me look as if I am standing still!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job!
