One of my favourite spots at the Festival of Quilts was the Virtual Studio run by the Committed to Cloth ladies. They had some plastic shape sets for shibori so I had to get some. OK , I probably bought all the sets.
I have some clamps but they were a little awkward to put somewhere so I could actually dip or pour dye. This little tray did the trick this time but not perfect.

I did three, one metre pieces which is really as big as I can do easily I think.
I had three primaries mixed up already and pre-soaked the fabric in soda ash and used them damp (too impatient to wait for them to dry)
Fuschia and Lemon Yellow (and a bit of leaking Turquoise I think) and rectangular window shapes.

Fuschia and Turquoise with circles
Not enough pressure on the circles but will try again.

Great fun! I bought some circles and squares as well in the virtual studio. Great stuff, isn't it? I will follow a workshop with Elin Noble in January. Can't wait, especially when I see your experiments.
Glorious!!
Lisa, these are beautiful and inspiring. I can just imagine using them. Looking forward to seeing what you do.
Excellent site you have got here.. It’s difficult to find good quality writing like yours these days. I seriously appreciate individuals like you! Take care!!
