City & Guilds

No I haven't forgotten my course. It is just that I have been a little busy but I have been thinking about the next assignment.

The task is to create a 3D container using an architectural inspiration.
I have chosen Federation Square in Melbourne which I really like.

I love the triangular angles and if you look carefully it is made up of rectangular units which are really interesting.

Still in the planning stage but at least by posting my thoughts here I can continue to develop my idea. What do you think?

Off on my adventure to West Australia tomorrow and I will be posting my adventures - internet access willing

Oh that building is great - just my style of architecture. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

It is a fabulous building. It is where I sang last November, a lovely space to do that in! The BMW Edge is at the south end with glass panels, in these shapes, overlooking the Yarra River and the Bot Gdns.
I love the contrast with the old Flinders St Railway Station across the road, too.
Have fun in WA.

The building is cool, I can see why you like it.

Your space is really coming along, you must be beside yourself waiting to move in!

Lisa,

Guess you are in WA right now having fun. The Federation Square building is a fascination and a good inspiration for what you want to achieve.
