Comfort
I have made a big investment in my comfort in buying a Bambach Saddle Chair. They have come very highly recommended for sewing and as I plan to be doing a lot of sewing now I thought the time had come.
The good thing about this chair is that it comes with a 14 day trial which is just as well as you are supposed to get used to it slowly as it is quite a different way of sitting.
I got one with a back as I am pretty lazy and like to lean back but I noticed my dentist today also had one but without a back.
Wish me luck.

It looks pretty cool, anyway! Maybe I should try one. I'm always sitting on my computer chair at an angle, straddling the right hand front corner! lol
Having a back on it is meant to be better for yours anyway. I've got a Schiavello Liberty chair which is brilliant - since i did the fracture years ago I can't sit for very long without it, but with I get an hour or two straight almost every time. They let you try them before you buy and the way everything adjusts easily in a split second without any bending or twisting is great - esp as I can level the arms to the same height as the sewing desk. If you don't like the saddle chair it might be worth giving the a go.

Looks pretty neat. First time I have heard of this chair. I have problems with my shoulders and neck when I work at my machine for any length of time. I bought a counter balance weighted harness to wear. Commercial name is Body-Rite. It has helped a lot as well as using it at work combating many hours on the computer. Look forward to hearing your feed back Lisa.
Hi Lisa
This chair look like what I need with the hours on the computer and sewing I do. I have had Sciatica for 7 years and I see it helps with that.
I will be watching to see how you like the chair.
Delia
How are you settling into the chair, Lisa?
My dentist has one which I was eyeing off last visit which she swears by.
How do you find working the foot pedal of your machine?
It looks like a nice red, comfy chair.
I think it will be great. I am certainly getting less lower back pain at the moment but think that perhaps my seat size is a bit big so will discuss it with the suppliers when they call me. I have a 14 day trial and they are happy to exchange anypart of it. I actually got the black version but might change colours if I change the seat size.
I actually have no problem with the foot pedal but as I am quite high (to get my elbows at right angles) I have a block of wood under one foot which is the height of the pedal.
So far so good and I am about to quilt a large quilt pretty intensely so that should sort everything out.
