Master Printmaker

On the weekend I went to a demonstration of printmaking by Japanese Master Keizaburo Matsuzaki
It was amazing to watch him patiently prepare each woodblock and accurately print two copies of each layer.

There were about 15 or 16 different layers of printing and each one precisely accurately placed. The final layer had some mica powder brushed over it to create a slight sheen

This is the final version which I now have a new found admiration for.

Amazing - and wonderful =) Patience really is a virtue! BTW: I received your pattern for cutout magic, and can hardly wait to try it. Thanks for prompt delivery and gift!
