I have wanted a long arm for a very long time. I don't know why I think that my quilting will be better on a long arm or maybe the sort of quilting I want to do is better suited to a long arm or whatever.
But I just wanted one.
Unfortunately as wonderful as my studio is - it is just not big enough for one so for quite a while I have been eyeing the Handiquilter Sweet 16 sit down machine. I have heard great things about it and so have bitten the bullet.
It was amazingly easy to set up and my first sample was quite acceptable so I am pleased.
It makes a perfect combination with my Bernina 820 and I am really looking forward to the three of us working together on some exciting new projects. Can't tell you exactly what yet but believe me - they are very very exciting.

Oh my, your place must be an excitingly wonderful place to live! Love the look of your new toy and I can barely wait to see what you are up to next. :)
Lisa ... isn't is just a rush to quilt with all that space. I used one at Michelle's Sewing Basket recently and would love one - even though I do have a longarm - you do different things and the Sweet 16 has no rollers or setups to worry about - just put your quilt under and away you go! Have fun ... look forward to seeing your creations!
Jealous! It looks much more fun then setting up those big huge machines. My goodness how much more creative can you get?
Will be interested in seeing how you enjoy using it Lisa. Will the Bernina get dust on it, from lack of use?
Looks fab Lisa!! If you're a member of QNNtv they have Quilt It! The Longarm Quilting show and do include the 16. David Taylor is on there with his with some fab tips. Have fun!!
