New Quilt

Here is a sneak peak of my latest quilt.

I have used my Autumn Leaves pack and some lovely Leaf Fusibles with simple squares and rectangles.

I am sewing the binding on tonight and then tomorrow I might show you the finished quilt. I had great fun quilting this. Can you see the leaves?

What do you think?

Present in the Mail

Today in the mail I received a lovely postcard from Elizabeth who was one of the first recipients of my Fusibles.
The hearts have been stiched down with embroidery thread onto a velvet/damask base with some additional embroidery.

I am sending a sample pack of Fusibles with every website order this month so here is your chance to try them yourself. I would love to see how you use them too,

Happy 2010

Well here we are at 2010.
2009 was pretty great for me so I hope this year lives up to expectations. I have lots of exciting things already planned and can't wait for it all to get underway. In the meantime I have been stitching up a storm in my terrific studio.

Just to start it off I have something new to show you

These die cut shapes are made from Dyed & Gone to Heaven hand dyed fabrics in a wide variety of colours.
The best part is that they are already backed with fusible web - just peel off the paper and press into place. Applique in your fabvourite technique - raw edge, buttonhole or satin stitch. They are suitable for machine and hand stitching.

More shapes to come and I am looking forward to seeing what you do with them. I have a few projects underway which I will be unveiling soon.
