Las Vegas and environs

After a week of nature in Yosemite & Mammoth it was an amazing culture shock to enter the bizarre, over the top world of Las Vegas.

Elvis is alive and well here of course

Am I in Venice?













or New York ? Although I think that Roller Coaster is a new addition to the skyline - I love New York New York because of the attempt to create the skyline and of course all those little windows are hotel rooms.













We saw Phantom of the Opera - Las Vegas style















Barry Manilow was playing at the Hilton. They have a store with all manilow goodies for those that way inclined. My favourites were the slippers and the water bottles. Other must haves were mouse pads, figurines and moisturiser!



































Now if only I could work out what the man is hanging on to!!















There are always weddings in Vegas - I loved this lady having her wedding breakfast to the sound of the slots
