It's a miracle - 10 days and I am feeling better although it is frustrating to have lost all that great sewing time.
Here is my latest offering - it is for a magazine and I am quite happy with how it turned out. It is very bright and cheerful I think. May even get some beads.
Strip pieced blocks in blues and greens.
Fused little houses to fill up the suburb.
Any suggestions for names?

That's a nice quilt design! If you are going to embellish how about embellishing one in some special way - like decorated for a holiday. Then the name could be "Look for the house with the xxx" - the way that people give directions to differentiate their home to others.
Hi Lisa,
Haven't been to your blog in a while, but the quilt turned out wonderfully! I really like it!

I really like it...very quirky.
Ideas for names:
This little patch is mine;
My place or yours?;
On the strips (streets) where we live
Hmm, I was thinking it spoke "village" to me more than "suburb," but that's just me.
Waterfront Property 2050? Could be your comment on global warming! LOL

Love it! And love seeing a quilt in a mag, thinking gee, that looks like Lisa, and sure enough it is, and then get to think HEY! That's my friend Lisa! Way cool!
Grin!
Cheers, Sarah
It said'coastal' to me before you added the houses - why not pick any one of the wonderful Sydney beach suburbs as a name? Clovelly, Coogee or whatever.
The first thing that springs to mind is, 'No Man Is An Island'.
The quilt looks great I'd love to see a larger view.

Its definately beach houses to me ... perhaps its the sea colours in the background. I really like the contrast between the houses and the strippy fabrics!
At home at sea
Seaside beachside homeside
Summer houses
I do like to be beside the seaside
A strip of houses ...
