Gumnuts continued

Yesterday's gumnuts have inspired me to experiment. I have a couple of printing blocks which I have had for far longer than I care to admit. So the time has come to attack them.

After lots of playing with Photoshop - a challenge in itself - I have come up with the following two images. I really like them both. Now to get out the lino cutting tools which I have had (unopened for nearly as long) and give it a try.

I will show you the results if they are not a complete disaster. The plan is to make some postcards using other mysterious things hiding in my studio.

Hi Lisa - great photo. If you haven't used your lino cutting tools before to make a block, you might want to consider making it a little easier on yourself, by focussing just on the main, foreground image of the gumnuts. Including all the detail in the background could give you a big headache - ask me how I know!

Fabulous images, Lisa. My mind is spinning with ideas as to how I would use them. Look forward to seeing what you do. (I know it will be great!)

These are very intriguing images. I'm looking forward to seeing the printing block that comes of them.

I love the gumnut images- wish we had something as interesting here in the desert!

And, your jellyfish beaded piece is lovely, the colors really do evoke the ocean for me. The agate is perfect!
