Extremes

It has been an interesting couple of days. Yesterday I gave a presentation to Hornhill Quilters who are a lovely group of quilters who meet weekly in this wonderful old Hall at Chalfont St Peters. Despite some technical hitches (me not having the correct cable connection for the slideshow) we managed a Heath Robinson style combination of slides and quilts and the ladies seemed to enjoy themselves as well as a luscious Imorning tea.

They seemed to like my fabrics too.

Then off to Oxford where we are staying in Queens College as they let out student rooms during the holidays. Very sparse but clean and warm and very historic - especially breakfast in the College Hall.

Of course as we had booked a walking tour it rained most of the day but it actually made it more special. I learnt so much but of course feel like there is so much more to know about Oxford.

Of course lunch was important too.

We also spent a few hours in the natural History Museum which had the most amazing roof/ceiling as well as an interesting exhibition of fabric and images of molluscs on perspex reflected onto the wall.

As a result of a special request from Sarah Smith we forced ourselves to have a High Tea but only had the small version which didn't contain the sandwiches and chocolates. Here is the before

and the after

Would you like me to force you to have another high tea? I'd be happy to oblige LOL! And hang the sandwiches.... you had the best part!

Glad you're having a wonderful time...stay healthy, have fun, travel well and safely!

Hugs, Sarah
