Studio Photos

In response to Helen's request to see our working spaces, I have taken a few photos. I used to have the one studio (which used to be our son's room) but then I realised I kept walking through a room the kids used as living room when they lived at home. So I got rid of the furniture and suddenly had a new studio.

I use this one for sewing and it has a great design wall which takes up the whole wall so is used for inspiration as well as works in progress. I have lots of Ikea wire baskets which are OK but the ones under the cutting table are the more expensive Elfa ones which I do think are superior

The other studio has a great big cutting table (a quilt show prize) with a really cool mat which covers the whole table that I had sent from the US but worth every cent. We cut heaps of fabric and this has made life so much easier. Peter is so much happier and I like to keep him happy. Who would have ever thought that buying a big cutting mat would get my husband so excited. I also have another table (yes - another prize) which wasn't really getting much use till I started doing the C&G Course and suddenly I realised I had a perfect work table for painting and stuff. It pulls out to double the size which is useful sometimes too.

And of course there are the beads which keep breeding.

Sigh...I wish I could keep mine this tidy. So, when are you coming to visit so you can make my studio as tidy as yours??

Hi
Couldn't resist a comment - I thought I was a bead collector but not on your scale from the looks of it. What a fabulous studio. I am still sharing mine (and that includes the display board wall) with my young grandson who still comes to sleep over every weekend and hasn't fully relinquished his playroom yet. Will have to be patient about reclaiming the full room.
Cheers
