Shapes

This latest exercise was to take a shape and then create a fused design.
The shape is the glass on top of a door.


Unfortunately the shape is not actually symmetrical so when I cut out a template the reverse did not work as I had already put fusible web on the back so I had to cut out more.

Also I put the two different colours on differently but didn't realise until they were fused. But this is only an exercise so I would know what to look for next time.

loving the orange-and the fact that they are not symmetrical I think really adds to the appeal[bet that surprises you!!!not ] camcas

Oooh, I like these! I can see lots of possibilities there for some really interesting quilts. I rather like the fact that they're not symmetrical, too. I'm also sure that you're not surprised about getting that comment from me, either!

Symmetry is not a natural state. Nature just doesn't do symmetrical. Having variation is far more interesting and intriguing. Hercule Poirot is the only one I have ever come across that likes things to be perfectly symmetrical! *vbg*
I like what you have done, Lisa. Definitely an interesting quilt there, but please don't make it symmetrical!
