Bushfire Tragedies in Victoria

We are currently experiencing the most dreadful bushfires in Victoria and many people have already been confirmed dead and hundreds of homes and whole towns destroyed.

There is excellent news coverage with photos at the Age and Sydney Morning Herald website and the ABC.

There are so many people affected by this tragedy and some appeals have already been set up. Money is always the best thing to donate as it can directed exactly where it is needed.

There have been many appeals set up to help and cash is obviously the most immediate way to help.

Some of these appeals are through the Bendigo Bank and the Red Cross. I believe most of the major banks have also donated millions of dollars to start the appeals but there is a lot of help needed so anything you can donate will be a help.

Thanks for the appeal link Lisa. The news keeps getting worse. Bendigo Bank has always had a strong community focus - and of course some of the fires are right within that community.

this brings back memories of living in Los Angeles, every september the fires would start and it would be so scary. I am so sorry to hear how bad it is, hopefully you will get some relief soon.
