Another Cutout Magic

I have just finished quilting this sample for my upcoming trip to NZ where I am teaching Cutout Magic in Auckland and Napier.

I started quilting this one during the filming of my DVD a few weeks ago. It is the first completed top I have done on my new Bernina 820 and it all went without a hitch. Spirals like this often have great problems with tension but I was really pleased especially as I had a light thread in the bobbin and dark blue on front.

Just amazing Lisa - any sort of curved piecing frightens me stupid! Think I need to be more adventurous with my quilting - all inspiration greatly appreciated

This is awesome. Did you use a pattern or make it up as you went? I really like it, thanks for sharing...Kathy

Hi Lisa

I have been following your blog. Your work is fantastic. Is there something available by you, explaining the technical bits of your quilting on the Bernina 820. I own one too, but still going through growing pains with my FMQ. May I ask... do you use the BSR (with or without foo pedal) Bsr 1 or Bsr 2 ? Also what stitch length and tension works best and what cotton do you use. My stitches looks so small (compared to yours) and 'thin' . Thanks!
