On Safari

I have just returned from a few days at Bakubung Lodge with some of tutors for the upcoming International Quilt Convention Africa.
It was an amazing adventure and we went on two safaris - one at sunset and one at dawn. Our first safari was at sunset and when the sun went down it was even more special
At the lodge the monkeys drive the staff mad and are forever chasing them off. They even go into the rooms if you leave the doors open and run off with the sugar sachets.
Couldn't get the hippos to show signs of life
The zebras seemed intent on showing us their rear ends which actually were very beautiful
Of course we ate really well - these chips were naturally a highlight
It was an incredible once in a lifetime experience. I have hundreds of photos but am limited to a small amount of internet access so am just giving you a taste.
