Tassie Textures

Yesterday we went to Cockle Creek which is the furtherest point you can drive in Tasmania (and Australia). I couldn't quite see Antarctica but I'm sure it was there just past the horizon.

Lots of lovely textures on the beach - I'm sure these will find there way into my Textured Treasures. In case you are wondering what the top image is - seaweed clinging to a rock. Looks so edible doesn't it?

The South Pole is just beyond this point (or maybe a bit further)

This is underneath the bridge which leads to the National Park.

This was a bridge support which had been chopped off.

Fascinating pictures: I love especially the seaweed and the chopped-off bridge support! You're welcome to visit my block at www.welennah.vuodatus.net with a bit more wintery pictures from Finland =)

Thank you for sharing this wonderful part of our world that I may not otherwise see. I am awestruck and green that you've actually been to such an extraordinary place. Good for you!

Your dyeing and quilt making are indeed amazing and though my concentration is primarily needlepoint, I couldn't have found a more inspirational blog to enjoy!
