Playing with Stencils

I have been playing around with my new stencils and foils

I used a stiff brush and some lime green Lumiere paint to stencil random flowers all over a pink hand dyed fat quarter. This is the Cherry Blossom stencil from the Traditional Japanese  Stencils Set
When the paint was dry I heat set it by gently ironing it.
Then using the Dragonfly stencil from the same set I scraped some foil glue through the stencil and let it dry. It goes on while but dries clear.

When the glue was clear (but still a bit tacky) I placed a piece of silver foil with the metallic side facing up over the top and rubbed gently
And then peeled off the foil.
What a lovely way to create original fabric designs.
