Colour Play

Found this colour play link on another blog and loved playing with it so I thought I would share further.
Isn't technology wonderful?

Speaking of colour - Peter found some strawberries today at our local fruit store. He is really trying to get more interesting produce in to combat the tasteless stuff at the supermarket. These were bought per strawberry but they tasted like heaven.

Finished Top

Today another milestone was reached - I finished the top for my next large quilt. I can't show the quilt yet but here are some leftover blocks to give you a taste.

It is called Bushfire Sunset.

These are the fabrics which were sorted into their respective batches. It has been a wonderful exercise in colour.

Now it is off to be quilted by Nic.

Ok - now onto the next deadline which has lots of beading.

Colour Ideas

I was wandering around a bookshop today and came across this book. I was so impressed by the concept and execution that I bought it - and I need another book on colour and/or beads like a hole in the head!

The author Sandra Wallace is a renowned artist in the UK and this book only came out in March so you may not have seen it yet but check it out if you get the chance. Of course have a look at Sandra's work on her website too.
